Fiber helps with bowel movements by binding itself with the contents of the stomach so with ample amounts of water stool will be passed more easily and toxins that also has bounded with the fiber will be flushed away as well which in the long run will influence various health benefits like lowered cholesterol, healthier colon, alleviate constipation and even may promote weight loss as fiber also allows you to feel fuller longer.
